Forming an interface between the Rallye and the public, our Ambassadors' mission is to represent the event organizer and participants, and to be proactive in seeking to increase the notoriety of our event with media and other institutions.
We are proud to announce that we now have an Ambassador in Canada: Anne-Marie Withenshaw!
"I am very proud and touched to be asked to be Ambassador for the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles du Maroc.
This is an event that has always fascinated me; I know several women who have competed in the Rallye, and who have told me enthusiastic stories about their experiences… to which I always listen with admiration.
Yes, admiration, because this event is a symbol of courage, adventure, self-confidence, and confidence in others.
The solidarity that the competitors must show during this ambitious off-road competition, navigating using only nature’s landmarks and a few lines on a map, is worthy of this 100% women’s rally. With participants from over thirty countries, this is truly an international event. Since they range in age between 18 and 65, it is also multi-generational. And with a setting like the Moroccan desert, as mysterious as it is infinite (and which the Rallye takes all possible measures to protect, thanks to its ISO 14001:2004 environmental certification), the invitation was virtually impossible to refuse!"
